Sydney to Hobart 2009 – Volvo 60

April 5, 2009 by Mark Smith Japan

amgen-60-cathedral-rocks2Sydney to Hobart, these words bring dreams to the mind of any adventurous sailor. The love of ocean racing is typified by this one race.

Whenever  I ask a person to close their eyes and think of the most thrilling yacht race in the world they either blurt out “Sydney to Hobart” or “Fastnet”. Both of these races are rough, tough no room for babies type races.

Whichever club house you are standing in when you can say you have sailed the Sydney to Hobart the conversation stops.  They want to listen.

Make 2009 your Sydney to Hobart year.
