Abbey Sunderland to sail Wild Eyes
Sailing around the World is Abby Sunderland’s ambition. Abby is the younger sister of Zac Sunderland who became the youngest American sailor to circumnavigate the world in July 2009. According to an LA Times Abby is sailing North along the Californian coast today delivering her boat for preparation. We wish you all the very best Abby and trust that your boat Wild Eyes takes good care of you.
Abby’s boat “Wild Eyes” is no stranger to deep ocean navigation. Under her original name BTC Velocity, a Jutson 40 design Ocean racer, she carried Alan Paris across the worlds oceans in the 2002 – 2003 “Around Alone” Ocean sailing race.
