Hamilton Island to Sydney – Sydney 38

March 5, 2009 by Mark Smith Japan

syd38_pic01This year’s yacht adventure from Hamilton Island to Sydney will be a whole lot of fun.  The author of this web site Mark Smith, most normally found sailing Japan,  has chosen the Sydney 38 racing yacht over the Volvo 60 for this adventure. There is no doubt the Volvo 60  will get back to Sydney before us but with less people on board our Sydney 38 we will all have more chance to actually sail and enjoy the thrill of being in charge of an ocean racing yacht.

You will find that sailing the Sydney 38 for 1050 miles from Hamilton To Sydney will normally expose you to every element of blue water ocean racing except ICE.

The trip is very good value for money. Come on and join us.
